I’ve been going thrifting a lot recently. Finding childhood toys at the thrift store has thrown me for a loop every time. As someone who no longer has any of her toys from my kid years, seeing them in person sends me back in time. This piece is a reflection of that feeling, of childhood being thrown on a shelf and sold at a discount, but also reflecting on what it means to be seeing it as an adult. I am becoming who I needed as a child. I am an adult who takes care of my inner child.
